How Rich is Too Rich?
3

How do we know if someone is too rich? Easy… it’s anyone with more than me! That’s my definition. Yours is similar. It’s anyone with more than you. Why is that? George Carlin once did a comedy bit about drivers. He observed that “anyone who drives slower than me is a moron and anyone who drives faster is an a-hole”. I think Carlin’s standard applies to... Running: A Healthy Hobby
1

Running is my hobby. It may be a subset of a fitness lifestyle but I tend to think of it as a stand-alone hobby. If fitness was my hobby, I would probably eat healthier. Prayer For a Dying Friend

Lord… in my minds eye, I can see her lying motionless. Intravenous pain medication has been her only nutrition for more than two weeks. The only growing cells in her body are cancer cells. The cancer cells draw nourishment from healthy cells and with increasing aggressiveness, starve her body. You see what’s happening. You don’t just see in your imagining as I do. You are... Love and Loyalty: A Tribute to Norman
6

Norman and Bess go for a walk every morning. I see them as I leave the neighborhood at the beginning of my commute to work. To describe what they do as walking is generous. I’ve actually only seen Bess walk a few times. Usually she is just lying in the grass in front of one of the neighborhood houses. Norman stands a few feet away, holding the leash, waiting patiently. When... (posted by Steve 361 days 19 hours ago.)
